Batch Three, Four and Five

Today was a successful baking day. I managed to bake three more batches of cookie, making a total of five batches now stashed in the freezer. There are still five more cookie favorites to make.

The fist cookie featured here is a family tradition dating back to my Nonna Rose and is made by every household in our extended family every year. It is a simple vanilla biscotti, but it would not be Christmas without it mingled among more modern day cookies such as the peanut butter cookie with a peanut butter cup or candy kiss nestled inside, which you see below. The cookies are traditionally made into "S" and "O" shapes. I add cinnamon candies to give a holiday affect.

This Italian chocolate cookie is my all time favorite. The house smells so wonderful when it's baking. It is a chocolate/cinnamon combination that is delicious.
